Music

Our music curriculum aims to provide all pupils with a high-quality music education which engages and inspires them to develop a life-long love of music, increases their self-confidence, creativity, and imagination, and provides opportunities for self-expression and a sense of personal achievement. Modelled on the National Curriculum, we offer opportunities for pupils to develop their talents in all aspects of music including composition, singing and appreciation.

Music Long-term Plan 2024-2025

Primary Languages

At St Paul’s First school our vision is that children will  develop their language learning skills and become all round global citizens. We teach French as our primary language in order to prepare our children for a rapidly changing world. Learning a language prepares our children for life in modern Britain, in which work and activities increasingly involve using languages other than English.

We intend that through learning French, our pupils will develop an awareness of cultural differences and develop a tolerance of diversity within society, as well as being open-minded, curious and adventurous in all aspects of their learning.
