Spirituality Statement

At St Paul’s Church of England First School, spirituality is at the heart of all we do. Rooted in our Christian vision — “Our welcoming Christian community accepts and enables all to flourish to achieve their God-given potential” — we believe that every child is a unique and precious creation of God, deeply loved and valued.

We nurture children’s spiritual growth by providing space for stillness, reflection, and awe. Through prayer, worship, and learning together, pupils are encouraged to explore life’s big questions, to recognise God’s presence in the world around them, and to develop their own faith and sense of purpose.

Guided by the teachings and example of Jesus Christ, we help our children to become independent and resilient learners who show love, respect, and kindness in all they do. We seek to inspire every member of our community to make a positive difference in the world — following in Christ’s footsteps and shining His light through their words and actions.

At St Paul’s, spirituality is not separate from everyday life; it shapes how we learn, play, and care for one another, so that all may truly flourish and live life in all its fullness (John 10:10).
